Materials

  • Xadrez Líquido in the color wanted
  • Ceramics or concrete vase
  • 1/4 of can of latex paint
  • Average adz
  • Varnish adz
  • 2 plastic recipients
  • Cotton waste
  • Water-based acrylic varnish
  • Waterproofing product

How to do

  • Give a coating of white latex paint diluted with a little bit of water outside the vase and apply a coating of waterproofing product inside to prevent the humidity from the plant’s dirt from damaging the painting. Wait for the vase to dry. Photo A
  • Dissolve  Xadrez Líquido in the desired colors (photo A) in separate recipients with a little bit of water until the paint becomes consistent. If you want to get lighter colors, add a higher amount of water to the mixture.
  • Apply the yellow mixture, yellow Xadrez Líquido and water with an adz on a part of the vase and remove the excess with a cotton waste before drying. Do the same on the whole vase. Photos B and C
  • To get the stained effect, gently apply the other mixture prepared with brown Xadrez Líquido and water (do not cover the entire yellow surface) and remove the excess with a cotton waste before drying. If it dries, wet the cotton waste with a little bit of water. Photo D and E
  • Give the finishing touch with the cotton waste. Photo F
  • Let it dry and apply a coating of water-based acrylic varnish.

In order to highlight the paint effects, use a vase with drawings in high-relief.

In order to the final color result in the vase we use two colors: brown Xadrez Líquido and yellow Xadrez Líquido.
