Painting with glue
Materials needed:
- White PVA Glue. Water;
- Pó Xadrez;
- Brush, Paint brush or Carving Tool;
- Plastic tray or box for application.
Step 1: In a clean recipient dilute the PVA glue in water, and mix it well.
(Picture 1)
Step 2: Add the Pó Xadrez to the mixture of water and glue. For this case, we used 250g of yellow pigment and 250g of red pigment.
Step 3: Mix well until obtaining an even color (Picture 2).
Step 4: Apply the mixture on the wall with horizontal or vertical movements. (Picture 3) For this demonstration, we used a carving tool, but larger surfaces require the use of a paint brush, which must not be soaked.
Step 5: remove the excess of mixture from the wall with the piece of tow, making the same movements as in the former step. (Picture 4) Perform the whole process within an area of about 1 m2 each time, with the paint still wet, for creating the desired effect. (Picture 5)
The PVA glue warrants total adherence of the mixture to the surface. Common glue is not recommended. The result is a unique finishing, since it is performed in a handcraft-like way.
