Artists and craftsmen from Minas Gerais chose their ideal pigment express their art a long time ago. They use the Xadrez® pigment to paint paintings, sanctuaries, shrines, oratories, candlesticks and wooden saints.

Art with XADREZ®

Richness of the paintings in all Tiradentes.

Like most of the Brazilian colonial cities listed as part of the National Historical and Artistic Patrimony, the city of Tiradentes, in Minas Gerais, has its beauty exposed in the facades and interiors of old churches and houses, preserved in the tortuous streets made of hundred-year-old stones.

The colored painting in all constructions is always made with iron oxide-based powder pigments. However, these are not the only ways of using the product. Everything has Xadrez® here. Minas Gerais artists and craftsmen use the powder in several color mixtures to paint paintings, sanctuaries, shrines, oratories, candlesticks and wooden saints. Furthermore, the antique furniture of the most charming colonial houses is renewed with the application of several kinds of patina.
